KOARP attend the publishing ceremony for the first Encyclopaedia of Duhok governate

Dr Tamer was responsible for researching and writing the encyclopaedia's content on animals and animal use in the region

This ceremony celebrated the culmination of 5 years of extremely hard work! Starting in 2013, the project aims were to develop an encyclopaedia of the Duhok region. Dr Tamer was responsible for writing the chapters on Kurdish animals, animal use, traditions and breeding.

Dr Tamer wrote a detailed classification on animals in Duhok and published his own surveys of the region. He describes Kurdish traditions that concern animals and the types of equipment used daily by locals for animals and animal breeding.

The encyclopaedia is now being distributed and Dr Tamer is delighted to see his work available to everyone.
