Monitoring the situation for wild birds at Mosul Dam

It is essential that we monitor local wildlife and their habitats to protect native animals

Today KOARP conducted one of several surveys of the wild animal population at Mosul Dam, where we also found and treated some stray dogs in need of veterinary attention.

Wild bird populations are at risk from pollution, habitat loss and starvation throughout the Duhok province. KOARP continue to monitor wild populations of report our findings to the government. We are committed to lobbying the Kurdish government to protect our natural habitats and conserve our native animals.
